What are the Reno-Tahoe Senior Winter Games?

The Reno-Tahoe Senior Winter Games is a program of competitions styled after the real Olympic Games and designed for area citizens age 50 and above. There are both individual and team competitions. Participants compete for gold, silver, and bronze medals within age groups. The Games run from January 29 through February 14, 2024.

Registration Fees for the Reno-Tahoe Senior Winter Games

The basic registration fee for all participants is $40, which includes a T-shirt, pin and Closing Ceremony Dinner and Dance. Registered participants and the general public can purchase additional Closing Ceremony tickets for $45 each. There are additional fees for each sport that vary depending on the sport ($10 to $30 - check the website or registration form for fees).

As you can see, there is something for just about everyone, including those who don't do snow and ice. To see where and when the sports are happening, refer to the website or registration form. Venues include High Desert Archery, Need 2 Speed, High Sierra Lanes, Diamond Peak Ski Resort, Reno Ice, Neil Road Recreation Center, Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center, South 40, McKinley Arts and Culture Center, Bundox Bocce, Mesa Rim Climbing Center and Fly High.
