Easter Sunday in 2026 comes on April 5, with many Easter egg hunts in the Reno area happening before the actual date. Be sure to check the dates listed. The hunts are free unless otherwise noted. For a delicious Easter meal, be sure to check out "Easter Dining in Reno and Sparks." Easter Egg HuntsEggFest 2026 - Saturday, March 28, 2026, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free. With 50,000 eggs hidden and ready to find, kids and families can also enjoy a trackless train, rock climbing wall, carnival games, face painting, balloon animals, free cotton candy, and local food trucks. We'll be raffling TVs, bicycles, and more. At Shadow Mountain Sports Complex, 3300 Sparks Blvd. in Sparks. Sponsored by Summit Church, 7075 Pyramid Way in Sparks. The Great Egg Race - Saturday, March 28, 2026, 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Free Easter Egg hunt for our community. There will be pictures with the Easter Bunny, inflatables, food, crafts, egg hunts for all ages and more. At LifeChurch, 10300 Rio Wrangler Parkway in south Reno. For more information, contact sponsor LifeChurch at (775) 852-3833. Biggest Little Egg Dive - Saturday, March 28, 2026. The event will take at the Northwest Pool, located at 2925 Apollo Way, with two egg-tastic times for participants to hop in. Participants will hunt for Easter eggs filled with surprise treats in and around the pools. RecConnect members participate for free from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. The general public is invited to the fun from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $10 per person and $3 for spectators. In addition to the egg hunt, there will be fun, spring-themed activities around the pool deck. Easter @ The Bridge Church - Sunday, April 5, 2026, 9 a.m. This free Easter egg hunt includes lots more - Easter carnival, bounce houses, obstacle courses, bottomless nacho bar, Easter Bunny photos, and lots more. There is a worship time at 10 a.m. The Bridge Church is at 1330 Foster Drive in Reno. Easter Egg Dash at Hope Community Church - Saturday, April 4, 2026, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Join us at 9 a.m. for a pancake breakfast, with an egg dash to follow for kids nursery school to 5th grade at 10 a.m. Hope Community Church is at 755 Trademark Drive in Reno. Easter Egg Hunt at St. John's Presbyterian Church - Sunday, April 5, 2026, 10 a.m. Children 12 and under are welcome to join this hunt for plastic eggs filled with candy. There will be 2 hunts - one for kids 6 and under, another for ages 7 to 12. Worship service at 10:30 a.m. St. John's is located at 1070 W. Plumb Lane in Reno. (775) 826-0990.
Easter Egg Hunt at Washoe Lake State Park - Saturday, April 4, 2026, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The South Valley Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in the park. The Easter Bunny arrives at 11:30 a.m. and the hunt starts at 12 p.m. sharp. We will be using candy-filled plastic eggs. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Please plan to arrive early, as parking spots fill quickly. The South Valley Volunteer Fire Department is requesting a minimum $5 donation at the park entrance to help cover the cost of supplies. Park entrance fees are waived for this event. The park is in Washoe Valley at 4855 East Lake Boulevard. If traveling from the Reno area, look for signs to the park at freeway Exit 44 at the south end of Washoe Valley. Meet at the group use pavilion. Call (775) 687-4319 for more information. Cold Springs Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, April 4, 2026, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. There are 5 age groups, with each group starting at a separate time, one after the other. Youngest goes first. Hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. sharp. The event will include the Easter Bunny, many local crafters and businesses, Alpacas Adventures, refreshments from food trucks, and other fun treats for the whole family. At 18400 Village Pkwy. in the Cold Springs area in northwest Reno. Meet the Easter Bunny at Scheels - Wednesday, April 1, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Come to Scheels for free candy, free Ferris wheel rides, and free arcade games. Bring your camera for pictures with the Easter bunny. Scheels is at 1200 Scheels Drive in Sparks. Eggstravaganza 2026 at the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City - Saturday and Sunday, April 4 - 5, 2026, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The egg hunts are at 1 p.m. and 1:20 p.m. Admission includes a petting zoo, unlimited motor car rides, handcar rides, food vendors, and museum admission. Admission is $25 for adults, $15 for children, free for 3 and under. Friends of the Museum Bunny Express (a separate event) is Saturday only at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are $20, 3 and under free. The Bunny Express includes an Easter Bunny photo and bag with goodies. The Nevada State Railroad Museum is at 2180 S. Carson Street in Carson City. Easter Egg Hunt at Reno Public Market - Sunday, April 5, 2026, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Easter Sunday, we will be hosting a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny and three Easter Egg hunts with different age group locations at each hunt to ensure safety and fun. At 299 E. Plumb Ln. in Reno. Easter Egg Hunts around Lake TahoeSpring Eggstravaganza in Tahoe City - Saturday, March 28, 2026. This free event features lots of golf ball "eggs" to hunt, pictures with the Easter Bunny and more. For kids of all ages. The Easter Bunny arrives at 9:45 a.m. and the hunt begins at 10 a.m. At the Tahoe City Golf Course, 251 North Lake Blvd. (530) 583-3440. Heavenly Village Easter Egg Hunt - Sunday, April 5, 2026, 10 a.m. Kids 10 and under try to find over 15,000 candy and toy-filled eggs sprinkled around the village, including $1,000 in cash eggs. After this eggs-capade, enjoy Brunch with the Easter Bunny or even try creating your own at their Build a Bunny workshop (these activities have a fee). Tickets are $5 per child. The Shops at Heavenly Village, South Lake Tahoe, CA. Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt at Gar Woods - Sunday, April 5, 2026, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Gar Woods in Carnelian Bay will be hosting an Easter egg hunt 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
