"Hall of Heroes"* is an exhibit at the Wilbur D. May Museum at Rancho San Rafael Regional Park in Reno. You can come and explore super powers from January 20 through April 22, 2018. The exhibit has been extended from its original closing date of April 15 and some special programming has been added.

Superheroes, gadgets, crime-fighters and spies are all featured in the Hall of Heroes exhibit, along with movie props, costumes, memorabilia and rare artifacts. This exhibit lets you get involved at interactive stations where you can discover your super power abilities in agility, speed, balance, strength, and more.

Special Features at the Hall of Heroes Exhibit

Here are some of the special features you will enjoy at the Hall of Heroes...

  • 1966 George Barris Batmobile & Interactive Batcave
  • Unique photo ops with life size characters
  • TARDIS from Doctor Who
  • Dioramas covering comic books to movies
  • Wind tunnel
  • Superman phone booth

On opening weekend, meet Captain America, Wonder Woman, and more. Members of the Science Fiction Coalition (Reno Chapter) will be there in costume to interact with visitors and provide photo ops.

Special Programming during April

  • Spring Break Crafts – April 5 - 6, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Enjoy free superhero crafts just for kids.
  • Hall of Heroes After Dark – April 6, 13, 20 until 8:00pm – See the glow of the Hall of Heroes exhibition during special after dark evenings. The Museum will stay open until 8 p.m. on the last three Fridays of the exhibit.
  • Superhero Meet & Greet – Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Sunday, April 22 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. - Meet Captain America, Wonder Woman, and more. Members of the Science Fiction Coalition (Reno Chapter) will be roaming the exhibit in costume to interact with visitors and provide photo ops.
  • Superhero Sale – All superhero merchandise in the museum store is 30% off during April. Sale includes plush toys, action figures, keychains, games, and more.

Entry Fee and Location for Hall of Heroes

The entry fee to Hall of Heroes is $9 for adults, $8 for children 3 to 17 and seniors. Kids under 3 are free. Hours at the Wilbur D. May Museum are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. The museum is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The Wilbur D. May Center is located in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park at 1595 N. Sierra Street in Reno. There is plenty of free parking right next to the museum.
